Bill’s practice focuses mostly on business transaction.  Most recently, he has represented companies involved in emerging technologies. His historical and continued involvement in corporate, banking, securities and real estate matters allows him to bring that legal and business experience to these companies and to the balance of his practice.Bill’s practice focuses mostly on business transaction. Bill was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Bill practiced law in Kansas City from 1967-1969 and then in Dallas from 1969-2006, co-founding the law firm of Winstead, Sechrest & Minick, now known as Winstead.

Bill currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tailored Brands, Inc. (a New York Stock Exchange company), having served as lead director and Chairperson of that company and its predecessor, The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc. for over five years. He also serves of the Board of Directors of OCB Bancorp, a one bank holding company. Bill is a founder and on the Board of Directors of SimpliPhi Power, Inc., an operating company producing both portable and stationary energy storage and management products. Bill previously served as Chairperson of both the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Vitamin Angels Alliance, each a non-profit organization. Bill is a father of five children and an increasing number of grandchildren.
