Jeff Libby brings over 30 years of focused experience in commercial real estate law, and a business-minded perspective that clients trust to get deals done.

Jeff represents developers, investors, owners, and commercial tenants across the country in all aspects of the real estate lifecycle, including acquisition, zoning and entitlements, development, construction, leasing, financing, management, and disposition. He has negotiated and closed transactions involving retail centers, office buildings, industrial sites, mixed-use developments, and large-scale land tracts.

What sets Jeff apart is not just his legal acumen, but his real-world business insight. For three years, he served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of a commercial real estate development company where he managed every phase of the deal process from the inside. That hands-on experience enables Jeff to anticipate issues before they arise, communicate in the language of dealmakers, and deliver practical solutions under pressure.

Jeff’s clients include commercial developers, landlords and tenants, asset managers, construction professionals and regional and institutional lenders. He is known for being strategic, proactive and relentlessly focused on moving deals forward. Whether guiding a first-time developer or advising a seasoned investment group, Jeff acts as both legal counsel and trusted business advisor.

A Dallas native, Jeff holds a B.B.A. in Real Estate and a B.A. in Philosophy from Southern Methodist University, where he later earned his J.D.  For many years he was a licensed Texas real estate broker and has been active in several industry organizations, including The Real Estate Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Away from the office, Jeff finds joy in music and family. A lifelong drummer, he plays most Sundays at St. Monica Catholic Church and has volunteered actively with his high school alma mater, Jesuit College Preparatory School, where he founded the school’s annual Adopt-A-Family Program in 1992.
