PartnerMr. Calhoun’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex M&A and other strategic business transactions and in employment law matters. Mr. Calhoun has experience in a wide variety of industries, including technology, media, consulting, healthcare, automobile, manufacturing, construction, and real estate.
Mr. Calhoun represents both buyers and sellers in a variety of transactions, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations and governance, banking and finance matters, real estate and construction, technology transactions, intellectual property issues, and labor matters. BACKGROUND During law school, Mr. Calhoun interned for Judge Harry Pregerson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and served as both a staff writer and a notes and comments editor of the Southwestern University Law Review. After graduating from law school, Mr. Calhoun practiced at a large, international law firm in Long Beach, California. Upon returning to his hometown of Dallas, Mr. Calhoun practiced with another large, international law firm before he co-founded Calhoun, Bhella & Sechrest. AWARDS Brian has been recognized as a Texas Rising Star 2011-2013 and as a Super Lawyer the past eight years in a row by Super Lawyers®.
