Senior Associate

Mr. Skidmore’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including real estate and construction disputes, and high-stakes business litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Skidmore represented health and disability insurers, as well as corporate and individual defendants in premises liability, dram shop, and personal injury litigation. Mr. Skidmore earned his law degree from the SMU Dedman School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for SMU’s International Law Review.

Representative Experience
  • Secured a take-nothing jury verdict for a homebuilder in a construction defect case after a three-day trial in Dallas County, Texas.
  • Obtained a directed verdict for the defense following the close of the plaintiff’s case in chief in a fraud trial in Denton County, Texas.
  • Prevailed in a bench trial in Parker County, Texas, obtaining a take-nothing judgment on a breach of contract claim.
  • Obtained dismissal of bad faith and Texas Insurance Code claims on statute of limitations grounds.
  • Obtained dismissal of ERISA claims based on failure to exhaust administrative remedies.
  • Obtained dismissal in Montgomery County, Ohio, of fraud, civil conspiracy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress claims.
