Partner​

Gwen is a trial attorney. She has litigated cases in state and federal courts and before arbitrators across the country in a wide variety of insurance, commercial, employment, and catastrophic death and personal injury cases.  

Gwen's clients have included a number of Fortune 100 businesses, including pharmaceutical companies, automobile manufacturers, trucking companies, insurance and reinsurance providers, and others in high-exposure litigation.  She also has helped a number of small and medium sized business with their partner disputes, business divorces, and other commercial litigation needs. 

​Prior to co-founding Calhoun, Bhella & Sechrest in 2010, Gwen practiced with a large, international law firm. She was recognized as a Texas Rising Star by  Super Lawyers® eight times, was recognized as one of the "Up and Coming 50 Women Attorneys in Texas" in 2018 and 2019, and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer 2020-2024.
